[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] (재)강원문화재단 강원국제예술제운영실은 ‘강원작가트리엔날레 2022’를 이끌어 갈 역량 있는 예술감독을 공개 모집한다고 밝혔다.

이번 공모는 강원 시각예술의 위상을 높이고 강원도 전역의 예술공원화를 위해 추진중인 「강원트리엔날레 in 평창」의 첫 행사,‘강원작가트리엔날레2022’를 기획, 총괄하는 예술감독을 선정하는 것으로, 선임된 예술감독은 행사의 주제 및 참여작가, 작품 선정, 평창군 내 유휴공간을 활용한 전시 프로그램 구성 등 강원국제예술제의 주요 추진 업무를 담당한다고 했다. 

응모 자격은 강원도에 대한 이해도가 높은 시각 및 공공 예술(미술·디자인·건축)분야 전문가로서 강원도의 정체성을 전시와 행사로 구현할 수 있는 능력을 겸비하고, 다수의 전시 기획 경력을 갖춘 전문가라면 누구나 지원 가능하다고 했다. 

공모기간은 지난 3월 11일부터 오는 4월 3일까지 24일간 이메일 접수로 진행되고, 예술감독 선정 심사는 1차 서류심사와 2차 면접 및 프리젠테이션으로 구성되며, 오는 4월 28일 최종 합격자 발표 및 위촉식을 개최할 예정이라고 했다. 

강원국제예술제 운영위원회는 투명하고 합리적인 감독선정을 위해 공개모집이라는 열린 절차를 선택했으며, 전문 지식과 경험, 리더십과 혁신성, 투명성과 윤리의식, 트리엔날레 추진의지 등을 종합적으로 검토하고, 이번 공모에 대한 자세한 내용은 강원문화재단및 강원국제예술제 홈페이지 공지사항에서 확인할 수 있다고 전했다. 

강원국제예술제 신지희 운영실장은 “강원도의 역사와 지역성을 기반으로 미래 지향적인 기획을 풀어낼 시각예술 전문가를 선정하기 위해 공정하고 투명한 심사를 진행하도록 최선을 다할 것.”이라며 “강원국제예술제 2차 개최지인 평창에서의 첫걸음인 이번 예술감독 공모에 역량 있는 전시 기획자분들의 많은 관심과 지원을 부탁한다.”고 말했다.

한편 강원트리엔날레는 강원도 전역의 예술공원화를 목표로 하는 국내 최초 3년 주기 순회형 시각예술행사로 홍천에 이은 두 번째 개최지 평창에서 2022년‘강원작가트리엔날레’, 2023년‘강원키즈트리엔날레2021’, 2024년‘강원국제트리엔날레’개최를 앞두고 있다고 했다.
