[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 26일부터 태백시는 오미크론으로 인한 코로나 19 확진자가 증가함에 따라 신속항원검사소 대상자의 편의를 높이고 쾌적한 검사환경을 위해 신속항원검사소를 인근 문화예술회관 주차장으로 이전해 운영한다고 밝혔다.

기존에는 PCR 검사와 신속항원검사 모두 보건소에서 진행했지만 최근 하루 50여 명이 넘는 확진자 발생 속에 수 백명의 시민들이 검사를 받기 위해 몰리면서 보건소 주차장의 포화 상태가 지속됐다고 했다.

이에따라 기존 PCR 검사는 보건소 선별진료소에서 계속 진행되지만 신속항원검사는 문화예술회관 주차장으로 옮겨 진행된다고 전했다. 

신속항원검사 후 양성자는 문화예술회관 주차장 내 별도의 공간에 마련된 임시 PCR 검사소에서 검사를 받게 되고, 운영시간은 평일, 주말 관계없이 오전 9시부터 오후 15시까지며, 접수 마감시간은 오후 2시 40분까지라고 했다.

보건소 관계자는 “시민들께서 장기간 계속되는 코로나19로 많이 지치고 어려움을 겪고 있어, 보다 편리하고 안전한 환경에서 검사를 받을 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
