이번 평가회는 고령화, 여성화 등으로 인한 농촌 일손부족을 해결하기 위해 벼농사 전과정 생력재배 기술을 투입한 참드림벼 시범단지 추진실적과 우수사례를 공유하고자 마련했다고 했다. 

양주시는 농촌인구 감소에 따른 농업 생력화를 추진하기 위해 경기도농업기술원에서 사업비 1억원을 지원받아 파종부터 수확까지 공동 작업, 모내기, 시비, 제초제 살포 등 생력농기계, 이앙 동시 비료 투입으로 화학비료 감축 등 악성 인력작업 자동화 시범요인을 투입했다고 전했다. 

시범 사업에는 백석, 남면 등 2개 단지, 58ha 규모에 총 15명의 농업인 회원이 참여해 지난 4월 못자리 설치를 시작으로 모내기, 시비, 제초, 벼베기 등 영농단계별 생력 농기계, 농자재를 적기에 투입, 벼 전과정 생력화를 통한 약 88%의 노동력 절감 효과를 거뒀으며, 특히 시범단지 내에 병해충 저항성이 강하고 수량성이 높은 경기도 육성품종 참드림 벼를 양주연합농협미곡처리장과 계약 재배로 농가 소득 향상에 기여했다는 평가라고 했다.
