폐농약을 보관 중인 농가에서는 외부로 새거나 유출되지 않도록 밀봉해 가까운 읍면동 행정복지센터 내 지정 장소에 배출하면 되며, 5일간 수거된 폐농약은 전문 처리업체를 통해 안전하게 처리할 예정이라고 전했다.

양주시 관계자는 “올해 상반기에 시행한 수거사업은 많은 농업인의 적극적인 참여로 성공적으로 마무리됐다”며 “청결하고 안전한 주거환경에 대한 시민들의 관심이 높은 만큼 건강한 농촌환경 조성에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
