[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 10월 3일 일요일 새마을지도자장흥면협의회와 장흥면새마을부녀회는 공릉천을 살리기 위해 미꾸라지 50Kg을 방류하는 사업을 가졌다고 밝혔다.

미꾸라지는 모기 유충을 잡아먹어 모기 매개 감염병을 전파하는 모기 개체수를 줄이는 역할로 친환경 방역의 역할을 하고, 하천 바닥 진흙에 들어가 산소를 공급하고 수질을 개선하는 등 많은 도움이 되는 어류종이라고 했다.

이천호 회장은 “공릉천 생태보전을 위해 미꾸라지 방류사업에 동참했으며, 공릉천의 수질개선을 위해 지속적으로 관심을 갖겠다”고 말했다.

문은경 면장은 친환경 방역과 공릉천 환경개선을 위해 함께 참여해주신 새마을지도자들에게 감사의 인사를 전하며 “앞으로도 오염원을 정비하고 깨끗한 공릉천을 조성하기 위해 꾸준히 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
