[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 민선8기 원주시장직 인수위원회는 시정 운영의 기초가 되는 시정방향과 슬로건을 정하기 위해 「민선8기 원주시 시정방향･슬로건 공모」를 추진한다고 밝혔다.

위원회는 시민과 함께하는 참여 시정을 실현하고자 공모방식을 통해 시정방향과 슬로건을 선정하기로 했다고 전했다. 

민선8기 시정이 추진해 나가야 할 방향을 함축적으로 담고 있는 문구를 공모하며, 시정방향･슬로건은 정책방향 및 비전을 반영한 시정구호와 원주시가 지향해야 할 정책방향, 원주시의 새 이미지를 표현할 수 있는 시정목표로 구분된다고 했다. 

주요공약 분야는 경제, 체육, 복지, 교육, 여성·아동, 안전, 환경, 문화, 농업 등이며 민선8기 시정의 주요 키워드는 기업·투자 유치, 일자리 창출, 소득증대, 주민편익 증대, 행복시민 등이라고 했다.

응모자는 시청 홈페이지에서 신청서를 내려받아 오는 17일부터 23일 18:00까지 방문 또는 우편, 이메일로 응모할 수 있다고 전했다.
