전기, 건축, 토목, 통신, 굴삭기 등 관련 자격증 소지자 또는 실무 경험자로 구성되어 휴양림 내 물탱크, 배수관, 취사장 등 각종 노후 휴양 시설을 보수 보완하여 상당한 액수의 예산 절감을 해오고 있다고 했다.

동부지역팀 소속 가리왕산자연휴양림은 4월 15일 강원도 정선군 정선읍 회동리 소재의 독거노인(김○○, 78세) 가구를 방문하여 낡고 위험에 노출된 전기설비 보수 등 재능기부 활동을 추진했다고 말했다.

안의섭 동부지역팀장은 국립자연휴양림의 유지보수전담반은 앞으로도 휴양림 소재의 주변에 어려운 이웃을 찾아 맞춤형 재능봉사 활동을 지속적으로 확대하여 국가기관으로서 사회적 가치구현에 최선을 다하겠다고 말했다.
