[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 23일 춘천시의회 황환주 의장은 인종차별 반대 캠페인 ‘Live Together 챌린지’에 동참했다고 밝혔다.

리브투게더 챌린지는 코로나 19의 장기화로 급증하고 있는 인종차별과 혐오범죄에 반대하고 국제사회연대와 포용을 목적으로 유네스코와 대한민국 외교부가 함께 시작한 글로벌 인종차별 반대 릴레이 캠페인이라고 했다.

황환주 의장은 “코로나 19는 전세계적으로 화합하고 협력할 때 극복할 수 있다” 면서 “이번 캠페인을 통해 다양성을 존중하는 글로벌 연대의식이 강화되어 혐오와 인종차별이 사라지길 바란다.”고  말했다. 

한편 황환주 의장은 다음 캠페인 주자로 속초시의회 신선익 의장을 지목했다고 전했다.
