Yangju Hope Library, Yangju City Recruiting Humanities at Sunset
[Reporter Kim Wan-yeong = Yangju] Yangju Hope Library in Yangju City is recruiting citizens to participate in the humanities program ‘Economic Stories Read through Pictures in History’ at sunset (nighttime).
This program will be held every Tuesday at 7pm from April 4th to the 25th for citizens who have difficulty using the library during the daytime.
‘Economic story reading through pictures in history’ is a class to learn the evolutionary history of the world economy using old pictures as a hint, and to understand the principles of economy through human economic history.
Song Byung-gun, professor of economics at Sungkyunkwan University, who is in charge of the lecture, is publishing 'Professor Byung-gun Song's Economic History' on Naver's premium content. It tells the story of economic history through interesting pictures.
His representative books include ‘Embarrassing (studying for the first time in my life) economic story (Volumes 1-3)’ and ‘Disaster Humanity’.
A person in charge of the library said, “We expect that this will be an opportunity for anyone to easily understand economics through the time to easily learn economics, which is a rather difficult subject, through pictures in history.” said.
Citizens who wish to take the course can apply online at the Yangju City Library website.
A total of 30 students are recruited on a first-come, first-served basis, starting on the 9th. For other inquiries, please call Yangju Hope Library (☎031-8082-7463).
