[김완영 기자 = 양주] 경기도 양주시(시장 강수현)는 지난 23일 시정 주요 정책사업 등을 중점 대상 사업으로 선정하는 정책 실명제 심의위원회를 개최하고, 34개 사업을 선정했다고 밝혔다.
‘정책 실명제’는 정책의 투명성과 책임감을 높이기 위하여 주요 사업에 대한 책임자를 지정하고 참여자의 실명과 추진 과정 등을 공개하는 제도이다.
공개 대상은 △ 시정 주요 정책사업 △ 10억원 이상 자체 재원 투자사업 △ 5천만원 이상의 연구용역 사업 △ 1억원 이상 주요 행사성 사업 등이다.
시는 이날 전문가들로 구성된 심의위원들의 심사를 통해 ‘양주 교육지원청 신설 추진’, ‘양주역세권 개발사업’, ‘전철 7호선 광역철도 건설사업’, ‘GTX-C 노선 건설’ 등 시민들이 관심을 가지고 있는 시의 주요 정책사업 34개를 최종 선정했다.
선정된 사업은 시 홈페이지 ‘정책실명(책임)제’메뉴를 통해 사업 내용이 공개될 계획이다.
또한, 이번에 선정된 사업 외에도 시민들이 평소 관심 있었던 사업은 시 홈페이지 ‘국민신청실명(책임)제’메뉴에서 상시 신청할 수 있다.
강수현 시장은 “민선 8기 공약사항 중 하나이기도 한 ‘정책(실명)책임제’는 시민들에게 파급효과가 큰 정책에 대해 보다 투명하고 책임 있게 임하기 위하여 꼭 필요한 제도”라며, “시민들이 관심 있어야 할 큰 사업들의 부서장 및 담당자를 공개할 수 있도록 대상 사업을 선정했다”고 밝혔다.
