[김완영 기자 = 양주] 경기도 양주도시공사(사장 이흥규)가 행정안전부 주관‘2023년 지방공기업 경영평가’에서 지방공기업 사상 최초로 5년 연속 최우수등급(‘가’등급)을 획득하는 쾌거를 획득했다.
이번 평가는 279개(공사 70개, 공단 87개, 상수도 122개) 기관을 대상으로경영관리, 경영성과 등 2개 분야 총 20여 개의 세부 지표로 평가했다.
공사는 시민의 삶의 질 향상과 도시 가치 창출을 위해 모든 임직원이 역량을 발휘하여 사업을 추진하고 각종 공공시설을 운영한 결과, 최적화된 경영관리 체계를 마련했다.
한편, 공사는 지속 가능 경영으로의 능동적인 전환을 위해 지난해, 자치단체 관계자, 이사회 의장‧이사, 공사 임직원 등이 참석한 가운데 ESG비전 선포식을 개최하고, ESG경영 전략별 과제를 본격 전개했다.
이흥규 사장은 “이번 최우수 등급 획득은 양주시(시장 강수현)와 양주시의회(의장 윤창철)의 전폭적인 지원을받아 지방공기업 경영 패러다임의 전환에 발 빠르게 대응하고 혁신경영을 추구한 결과이다. 또한 지속적인 성원과 관심을 보내주신 시민과 고객에게 감사의 뜻을전한다”라며 감사의 뜻을 전했다.
이로서, 지난해 하반기에 취임한 이흥규 사장은 안정적이면서 경영 혁신을 하는데 성공했다는 평가이다.
