【경기북부 동두천 브레이크뉴스】 김완영 기자 = 동두천시는 전라북도 익산시에서 열린 ‘2023 대한민국 도시혁신 산업박람회’에 참가했다.

국토교통부가 후원하고 전라북도, 익산시, 연합뉴스, 도시재생사업진흥협회가 주최한 이번 박람회는 10월 25일부터 28일까지 4일간 전라북도 익산시 영등동 191-5번지 일원에서 진행됐다.

박람회 내에서는 전국 지방자치단체와 공공기관, 민간기업 등이 참여해 도시재생 우수사례를 공유하고, 국제컨퍼런스, 컨설팅, 세미나 등을 통해 도시재생 사업의 전반적인 성과와 미래 과제를 점검하는 식의 행사로 꾸려 져 진행됐다. 

동두천시는 박람회 기간 동안 ‘동두천시 도시재생사업’ 홍보부스를 설치해 운영하며 동두천시 도시재생의 발자취와 앞으로의 계획을 알렸다.

박형덕 동두천시장은 “2023 대한민국 도시혁신 산업박람회는 동두천의 도시재생을 전국에 알릴 좋은 기회였다”라며 “타 지자체의 우수사례를 면밀하게 살펴 시민들이 만족하는 성공적인 도시재생사업을 추진할 것”이라고 전했다.
