[브레이크뉴스 양주 = 김완영 기자] 경기도 양주도시공사(사장 이흥규)는 ESG경영 실천과 ESG교육 활성화 노력의 일환으로, 지난 12일, 사회적협동조합 사람과 세상과의 업무협약을 진행했다고 밝혔다.

이날 업무협약식은 공사 이흥규 사장, 사회적협동조합 사람과세상 주태규 이사장이 참석한 가운데, 지속가능경영을 위한 실천적 ESG 활동 등의 상호협력 체계를 구축하기 위해서 진행되었다.

주요 협약사항은 ▲기관 간 상호협력을 위한 양 기관 브랜드 가치 제고 ▲ESG경영 활성화를 위한 교육, 컨설팅 프로그램 개발 및 지원 ▲지속가능한 성장과 발전을 위한 전문적, 지속적인 자문과 조력 등이며, 지방공공기관 혁신을 위해 향후 ESG경영 지표별(환경, 사회, 지배구조) 협력과제를 지속적으로 발굴하고 협업해 나갈 예정이다.

특히 이번 협약을 통해 양 기관은, 공사 직무 특성을 반영한 차별화된 ESG 교육프로그램 개발과 업무분야에서의 ESG경영 실천을 위한 임직원 대상 교육훈련 실시를 위해 적극 협업할 예정이며, 사회적가치 및 친환경 지표를 중점으로 공공부문의 ESG경영의 이해와 실행방안의 맞춤형 학습과정을 개발하기로 했다.

이흥규 사장은 “이번 업무협약을 계기로 지방공공기관이 공공부문 ESG경영 활성화의 마중물이 되길 바란다”라면서 “앞으로도 사회적기업과의 업무협약을 통한 협업사업 개발 및 협력을 통한 사회적 책임 실현을 위해 최선을 다하겠다”라고 밝혔다.
