[브레이크뉴스 양주 = 김완영 기자] 경기도 양주시(시장 강수현)는 지난 19일 행정안전부가 주관한 ‘2022년 데이터 기반 행정 실태점검’에서 향상도 우수기관으로 선정돼 행정안전부 장관 표창을 수상했다고 23일 밝혔다.

데이터 기반 행정의 조기 정착을 위해 실시하는 ‘데이터 기반 행정 실태점검’은 ▲데이터 기반 행정 추진체계 정립, ▲행정·공공기관 간 데이터 공동 활용 촉진, ▲데이터에 기반한 행정 혁신, ▲데이터 활용 역량 강화, 문화조성 등 4개 분야 총 12개 지표를 평가한다.

행정안전부는 이번 ‘공공데이터법 제정 10주년 기념식’에서 중앙행정기관, 지방자치단체, 공공기관 등 총 467개 기관 중 29개 기관을 공공데이터 발전 및 개방·활용 우수기관으로 선정해 표창했다.

시 관계자에 따르면 양주시는 데이터 기반 행정 분야 표창 14개 기관 중 유일한 지방자치단체로 지난 2022년도 ‘데이터 기반 행정 실태점검’ 대비 올해 점수가 크게 향상돼 우수기관으로 선정됐다.

특히, 데이터에 기반한 행정 혁신과 데이터 활용 역량 강화 및 문화조성 지표에서 우수한 성적을 얻었다.

강수현 양주시장은 “데이터에 기반한 과학적 행정을 위해 직원들 모두가 역량을 강화하려고 노력한 결과”라며 “데이터 분석과 결과의 환류를 통한 지속적인 활용 체계를 통해 시민이 체감할 수 있는 서비스를 제공하도록 더욱 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
