[김완영 기자 = 양주] 2022년 지방선거에서 양주시장으로 출마했던 김시갑 전 양주시장직 인수위원회 부위원장은 최근 내년 총선을 의식한 듯 광폭의 행보를 하고 있다.
국민의힘 김시갑 전 부위원장은 지난 8월 9일 송석준 경기도당 위원장으로부터 행정혁신위원장으로 임명을 받은데 이어 23일에는 이철규 국민의힘 사무총장으로부터 중앙당 지방자치위원회 위원으로 임명장을 또 받았다.
이번에 임명받은 지방자치위원들은 지방자치분야의 전문가 그룹으로 짜인 국민의힘 중앙당 지방자치 핵심 인물들이다.
이에 김시갑 위원은 "내년 총선을 맞아 양주시 발전에 무거운 책임을 느낀다. 우선, 시민들과의 소통을 통한 진정한 호흡을 더 하겠다"라며 소감을 밝혔다.
김 위원은 한양대학교 지방자치대학원을 졸업 했으며, 경기도의원(8대)을 거쳐 지난해 양주시장직에 도전한 인물이다.
