[브레이크뉴스 경기 = 김완영 기자] KDLC_전국자치분권민주지도자회의 경기도의회 운영위원회(박옥분 경기광역대표, 수원2)가 26일(목) 경기도의회 중회의실1에서 개최됐다.

이날 회의에는 KDLC 박옥분 광역대표를 비롯하여 남종섭 KDLC 전국공동대표 등 경기도의회 더불어민주당 의원 22명이 참석했다.

박옥분 경기광역대표는 인사말을 통해 “11대 의회 들어서면서 염종현 의장님과 남종섭 대표님을 비롯한 많은 의원님들께서 자치분권 실현을 위해 노력해 오신덕분에 인사권 독립을 비롯하여 교섭단체 지원 근거 마련 등 크게 진일보한 성과를 냈다”면서 “향후 여전히 미흡한 제도 개선을 위해 의원님들과 함께 노력해 나가겠다”고 포부를 밝혔다.

KDLC 전국공동대표인 염종현 경기도의회 의장은 영상축사를 통해 “KDLC는 민주당의 핵심 가치인 자치분권의 강화를 위해 강인한 연대와 협력으로 쉼 없이 걸어왔다”면서 “경기도의회도 자치분권 3.0시대를 위해 KDLC와 함께 하겠다”고 전했다.

남종섭 경기도의회 대표의원은 “지난 21일(토) 헌정사상 처음으로 열린 더불어민주당 전국지방의원대회를 언급하며 행사를 통해 지방의회의 위상과 권한을 강화하기 위한 의원들의 간절한 염원을 확인할 수 있었다”고 전하면서 “향후 진정한 자치분권 실현을 위해 지방의회법 제정을 비롯하여 지방의회 역할 재정립을 위해 노력해 나가겠다”고 전했다.

한편 이날 회의에서 이기형(김포4) 의원을 운영위장으로, 장한별(수원4)의원을 사무총장으로 선임했다. 향후 각 분과를 꾸려 자치분권 강화를 위한 구체적인 활동에 돌입할 계획이다.
