[김준호 기자=정선군] 웰니스 관광지로 많은 인기를 끌고 있는 정선군이 디지털 관광주민증사업에 선정되었다.

한국관광공사에서 시범적으로 시행하고 있는 디지털 관광주민증사업은 관광지 이용 혜택을 제공함으로써 방문객 재방문과 체류기간 증대를 유도하고자 2022년부터 추진해온 사업이다.

정선군은 한국관광공사와 함께 강소형 잠재관광지 육성사업과 연계해 정선의 구석구석을 찾아 즐거운 여행을 할 수 있는 디지털 관광주민증 발급 시스템 작업을 상반기 중에 완료하고 하반기부터 서비스를 실시할 계획이다.

군은, 하이원 리조트와 로미지안 가든, 파크로쉬 리조트앤웰니스 등 웰니스관광의 메카로 급부상 하고 있는 만큼 디지털 관광주민증 발급 시행을 앞두고 정선을 널리 알리기 위한 관광 마케팅에 주력해 나간다는 방침이다.

또한, 정선의 힐링명소로 가리왕산 케이블카를 비롯한 정암사 수마노탑, 함백산 만항재, 삼탄아트마인, 하이원리조트, 화암동굴, 정선5일장, 병방치 스카이워크, 짚와이어, 아라리촌 등이 있다.

정선 디지털 관광주민증을 발급받는 사람은 누구나 정선만의 특색있는 관광지를 비롯한 숙박, 식음, 체험 시설 등에서 할인 혜택을 받거나 정선군 특산품을 제공받는 등 국민고향 정선에서 즐거운 여행을 즐길 수 있다.

최승준 정선군수는 "힐링과 명상, 건강 활동을 통해 행복을 찾고자 하는 여행 수요가 많아지고 있는 만큼 지친 심신을 달래며 여행을 즐길 수 있도록 디지털 관광주민증 서비스 시행 준비에 최선의 노력을 다하겠다고 말했다.
