[김현우 기자 = 속초] 속초시가 관광 활성화를 위한 단체관광객 유치보상제를 운영한다고 12일 밝혔다.

단체관광객 유치보상제는 20인 이상 속초시를 방문한 수학여행 학교 및 여행사를 대상으로 관내 숙박업소에서 숙박하고 유료관광지나 식당을 이용할 시 유치보상금을 지원하는 사업으로, 1월부터 예산 소진 시까지 운영된다.

수학여행의 경우 1박 숙박 시 1인당 5,000원을, 2박 이상 숙박 시 1인당 7,000원을 지급하며, 단체관광객을 유치한 여행사의 경우에는 하루 숙박당 20인~40인 20만 원, 41인~80인 40만 원, 81인 이상인 경우에는 60만 원을 차등 지급한다.

신청 절차는 별도의 사전 신청 없이 속초시를 방문한 후 10일 이내에 신청서류 및 증빙자료를 구비하여 속초시청 관광과 설악동활성화팀(직접방문 또는 우편)으로 신청하면 된다. 

유치보상금은 접수일로부터 7일 이내에 지급되며 자세한 사항은 관광과 설악동활성화팀으로 문의하거나 속초시청 홈페이지에서 확인할 수 있다.
