[서종협 기자 = 평창군] 평창군 대화면 주민(모임)단체가 지난달 평창군에서 지원하는 도시재생 공모사업에 선정되어 다양한 활동을 펼치고 있다고 밝혔다.

창고를 리모델링하여 조성된 공동이용시설에 대한 활용 방안을 마련하고자, ‘아이들 바른 먹거리·놀거리 환경 부재’를 배경으로 한 카페, (팝업)놀이터를 운영하고 ‘주민공동체 활성화 지원’을 위한 북 콘서트, 주민 이벤트 등 주민 행사 개최를 진행 중이며, 대화면 도시재생 마을사업단(대표 박은실)은 아이들은 물론 대화면 공동이용시설을 찾는 방문객에게 제공할 수 있는 디저트 메뉴 개발을 추진 중으로, 전문 강사 강의로 맛과 영양은 물론 지역 내 생산되는 농산물을 활용하여 로컬푸드로 활성화할 계획이며 오는 19일 자체 품평회를 예정하고 있다고 밝혔다. 

김흥선 대화면 도시재생 주민협의회 대표는 “주민공모사업은 지역에 변화를 꾀할 수 있는 사업으로, 소규모 예산이지만 마을 단위의 발전을 위한 충분한 잠재력의 밑바탕이라고 생각하고, 지역이 재생될 수 있도록 주민의 많은 관심이 필요한 시점이다.”라고 밝혔다.
