[김준호 기자 = 삼척시] 삼척의 수려한 자연경관을 관광객에게 알리고 시민들의 건강증진을 위해 ‘제17회 두타산 등산대회’가 오는 10월 23일 번천리 댓재공원에서 개최된다.

삼척시산악연맹이 주관하고 MBC강원영동이 주최하며 삼척시가 후원하는 이번 대회는 산악 동호인으로 구성된 산악팀과 시민·학생 등으로 구성된 일반팀으로 나눠 진행되며, 시상금은 순위 및 추첨에 따라 팀별로 지급된다.

등산대회는 10월 23일(일) 오전 8시부터 진행되며, 산악팀은 댓재공원(출발) ▶두타산 정상(반환점) ▶댓재공원(종점) 약 12.2km(5시간 40분) 코스를, 일반팀은 댓재공원(출발) ▶통골목이(반환점)를 돌아 국유임도 ▶예술인촌 ▶댓재공원(종점) 8km(4시간) 코스를 걸으며 완주하면 된다.

참가신청은 10월 7일(금)부터 10월 19일(수) 17시까지 대회참가신청서를 작성하여 MBC강원영동 미디어사업국 또는 해당 접수처에 방문 접수와  팩스,이메일도 가능하다. 

이번 두타산 등산대회 참가비는 산악팀은 팀당 12,000원, 일반팀은 참가 인원당 3,000원이며 자세한 사항은 MBC강원영동 홈페이지를 참고하면 된다.
