[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 강원도가 농림축산식품부에서 전국 16개 시도를 대상으로 실시한 ‘2022년 지자체 가축방역 특별평가’에서 “우수상”을 수상했다. 이는 , 2020년 “최우수상”, 2021년 “우수상”에 이어 3년 연속 수상하는 쾌거를 거둔것은 물론, 재난형 가축전염병 방역대책 추진  우수성을 입증 받았다.  

이번 평가는 아프리카돼지열병, 고병원성조류인플루엔자, 구제역 등 3대 재난형 가축전염병 방역대응 노고 격려와 우수사례 공유를 위해 전국 16개 시도를 도(道)부와 시(市)부로 구분하여 평가를 실시하였고, 우수 지자체에는 농식품부장관표창과 포상금 등 인센티브가 부여된다.

특히, 올해는 평가의 객관성과 투명성 강화를 위해 7명 이상으로 구성된 ‘전문가 평가단’을 구성하여, 지휘부관심⸱창의성⸱노력도 등 정성평가와 방역시책 이행 등 정량평가를 실시하였으며, 그 결과 강원도는 도(道)부 2위로 “우수상”을 수상하였다. 

김진태 강원도지사는 “지난해에 이어 3년 연속 수상하는 쾌거를  이루어냈지만, 절대 만족하지 않고 방역시스템을 더욱 체계화하고 지속 노력하여 어려움을 겪는 축산농가 경쟁력 강화와 소득증대에 기여해나가겠다”면서, “어려운 여건에도 묵묵히 일하고 있는 도와 시⸱군 방역관계자 분들의 노고에 감사드린다”고 말했다.

한편, 가축방역 특별평가에서 최우상은 충청북도가 차지했다. 이밖에도 강원과 경북이 우수상을, 경남과 전북이 장려상을 차지했다. 시 부분에서는 인천(우수)과  대구(장려)가 각각 수상했다.
