[김택곤 기자=정선군] 정선군이 치매 어르신들의 맞춤형 보호 서비스 제공과 가족들의 삶의 질 향상을 위해 추진하고 있는 정선군 공립 치매전담형 노인요양시설 건립이 하반기 운영을 목표로 사업추진에 박차를 가하고 있다.

군은 치매 어르신들을 위한 치매전담형 노인요양시설이 관내에 단 한 곳도 없어 치매 어르신들의 실질적이고 체계적인 관리와 가족들의 심리적·경제적 부담을 경감하고자 추진하고 있는 치매전담형 노인요양시설 건립 사업이 현재 80%의 공정율을 보이고 있으며 올해 6월에 사업을 마무리하기 위해 공사 진행에 매진하고 있다.

정선군 공립 치매전담형 노인요양시설은 총 75억여 원을 투입해 정선읍 신월리 896-4 외 5필지 일원에 연면적 1,882㎡ 지하 1층 지상 2층 규모로 추진하고 있다.

주요 시설은  1인실·2인실·4인실 등 총 18개 요양실에 57명의 치매 어르신들이 생활할 수 있는 치매전담실을 비롯한 물리치료실, 프로그램실, 린넨실, 면회실, 간호사실, 요양보호사실 등이다.

군은 입소자 뿐만 아니라 종사자, 가족들이 쾌적한 환경속에서 편리하게 이용할 수 있도록 내부시설에 입소자 편리를 위하여 각 요양실마다 화장실과 물품 보관함을 별도로 설치하고 면회실, 요양보호사실 등 소규모 공간을 배치한다.

군에서는 치매전담형 노인요양시설에 치매 전문 간호사 및 요양보호사, 프로그램 관리자 등을 배치해 운동요법, 현실인식훈련, 가족교육, 인지자극활동, 음악활동 등 다양한 치매프로그램 운영할 계획이며, 치매 어르신과 가족들의 삶에 많은 도움이 될 것으로 기대하고 있다.
