[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 가평군은 코로나19 재유행으로 전국적으로 소아·청소년 확진자가 늘고 사망 사례도 발생하자 코로나19 백신 예방접종을 재차 권고하고 나섰다고 밝혔다. 

접종할 백신이 없는 만 5세 미만 영유아에게는 개인별 거리 두기를 지켜달라고 요청했다.

최근 우리나라 18세 이하 소아·청소년 코로나19 감염 사망자 44명 중 기저질환이 있는 대상이 23명(52.3%)이었고, 사망자 중 미접종자의 비율은 18명(81.8%)로 나타났다. 

해외의 임상시험 연구 결과, 소아용 백신을 접종한 5~11세의 입원예방효과는 74%로 확인되어 효과성이 입증된 바 있다.

접종 대상은 소아는 만 5~11세(주민등록상 2017년 생일 이후~2010년 생일 전), 청소년은 만 12~18세(2010년 생은 생일이 지난 사람)으로 나뉘어지며, 대상에 따라 접종백신이 다르다.

청소년의 경우 보호자와 동반을 권고하며 부득이하게 미동반시 사전에 보호자가 접종 시행 동의서 및 예진표를 출력, 작성하여 의료기관에 제출해야하고, 해당 서식은 가평군보건소 홈페이지에서 다운로드가 가능하다.

보건소 관계자는 소아는 성인에 비해 위중증률이 낮지만 기저질환이 있는 고위험군의 경우 위중증 위험이 성인보다 상대적으로 높으므로, 당뇨, 비만 등 고위험군 소아·청소년은 중증화 및 사망 예방을 위해 꼭 접종하도록 당부했다.
