포천시 야구소프트볼협회 신영호 사무장은 “리그운영을 하면서 얻은 이익금, 회원들의 홈런 이벤트 등으로 마련한 기금으로 후원을 진행했다.”라며 “앞으로도 어려운 이웃을 위한 기부를 이어가겠다.”고 말했다.

최재두 영북면장은 “영북지역의 복지사각지대 해소를 위한 지속적인 후원에 감사드린다. 소중한 후원이 복지취약계층에게 큰 도움이 될 것이다.”라며 “기탁하신 물품은 복지사각지대 가구에 잘 전달하겠다.”고 전했다.

한편, 포천시 야구소프트볼협회는 약 600여명의 회원으로 구성되어 있으며, 창수면 오가리에 있는 포천야구장에서 야구동호인 리그를 운영을 하고 있다고 전했다.
