[남상훈 기자 = 양주] 지난달 31일 양주시는 남면 소재 검준일반산업단지에서 양주검준패션칼라사업협동조합, 경기북부노동인권센터와 함께 공동주관한 ‘2023년 산업재해 예방 캠페인 및 컨설팅’을 실시했다고 밝혔다. 

경기도 노동안전지킴이 운영 사업의 일환으로 산업 재해 예방과 안전 문화 확산을 위해 마련된 이날 행사는 경기도와 양주시, 경기북동부권역 8개 시군 노동안전지킴이, 양주검준패션칼라사업협동조합 소속 회원사, 경기북부근로자건강센터 등 150여명이 참여했다.

캠페인은 사업주와 근로자의 안전보건의식 강화를 위해 산재예방 홍보물 배포와 안전관리 교육을 중심으로 진행했으며, 근로자와 함께하는 리서치, 직업건강관리 및 금연지원 상담 등도 진행됐다. 

또한 검준일반산업단지 입주기업인 ㈜대광프린트무역의 요청으로 실시된 컨설팅은 해당 사업장을 방문해서 안전조치가 미흡한 산업현장을 점검하고 자율적 개선을 지도하는 등 원활한 안전보건체계 구축하는 계기를 제공했다.

시 관계자는 “산업재해는 근로자들에게 큰 위험을 초래할 뿐만 아니라, 기업에도 큰 손실을 야기하므로 안전한 작업환경 조성을 위해 기업과 근로자 모두가 함께 노력해야한다”며 “앞으로도 양주시는 근로자가 안전하고 건강하게 근무할 수 있는 일터 조성을 위해 적극적으로 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
