[김현우 기자 = 가평] 가평군은 오는 20일부터 6월 18일까지 30일간 자라섬에서 ‘2023 Colorful Garden 자라섬 꽃 페스타’를 개최한다고 밝혔다.

코로나 팬데믹 이후 처음 열리는 공식적인 축제로 그간 코로나19 장기화에 따라 간소하게 꽃 정원 개방 행사만 진행해 왔다.

자라섬 남도에는 약 7만평방미터의 꽃 정원이 조성되며 꽃 양귀비, 구절초, 비올라, 산파첸스, 아게라텀 등 14종의 꽃들이 심어져 지역주민들과 관광객들에게 코로나19로 지친 마음을 위로하고 행복과 힐링 공간이 제공된다.

축제에는 다양한 볼거리와 즐길거리가 준비되어 있다. 토요일 및 공휴일에는 지역밴드와 청년뮤지션, 수와진 등이 참여하는 공연이 펼쳐지고 화관, 화분 및 꽃차 만들기 등과 지역 장인들의 물품도 전시되어 관광객의 이목이 집중된다. 또한 지역 농·특산품 및 화분 판매, 아람장터도 함께 운영되어 주민들이 적극 참여하는 행사로 발돋움하고 있다.   

특히 축제기간에 꽃 축제 입장권을 소지하고 주요 관광지, 음식점 및 숙박시설 방문 시 할인을 받을 수 있는 이벤트가 진행되어 지역 경제에도 활기를 불어넣을 예정이다. 

가평군 관계자는 “봄꽃 천지인 자라섬에서 아름다운 북한강을 거닐며 예쁜 추억을 만들어 가기를 바란다”고 말했다.

한편, 축제기간 입장시간은 매일 오전 9시부터 오후 6시까지며, 밤 9시에 퇴장해야 한다. 입장료는 7,000원으로 이중 5,000원이 가평지역화폐로 환급되며, 가평군민 및 5세 이하는 무료로 입장 가능하다.
