[김현우 기자 = 강릉] 강릉시는 청년들의 창업 고충해소를 위해 28일 청년센터 두루에서 ‘넥스트로컬 참여 청년(기업) 간담회’를 개최한다고 밝혔다.

이번 간담회는 원활한 관내 창업 및 지역 이주에 대한 지원방안을 모색하기 위해 마련됐으며, 관련 부서 및 유관기관, 서울시 관계자, 지역전문가를 비롯해 참여 청년 창업팀 등 20여 명이 참석한다. 

넥스트로컬 사업은 강릉시를 포함한 20개 지자체와 서울시의 협력체계 구축을 통해 서울 청년들이 지역자원을 비즈니스의 기회로 삼아 연계 활용할 수 있도록 새로운 창업 모델을 발굴하는 프로젝트이다.

지역자원을 활용한 창업과 이주 및 정착을 돕기 위해 지역연계 창업에 따른 애로사항을 청취하고 관련 정책과 지원방안에 대해 논의한다.

또한, 지역의 초당두부를 활용한 천연발효빵, 버려지는 커피박을 이용한 친환경플라스틱, 지역 쌀로 생산한 떠먹는 막걸리, 강릉감자로 만든 포파칩 등 참여 청년기업별 사업아이템을 소개할 예정이다.

강릉시 관계자는 “강릉의 풍부한 자원이 청년들에게 기회가 되어 새로운 창업의 꿈을 이룰 수 있기를 바라며, 청년 유입과 지역 활성화의 계기가 되기를 기대하고 있다”고 말했다.
