[남상훈 기자 = 원주] 23일 임하수 북부지방산림청장이 소나무재선충병 방제사업의 부실 설계·감리·시공을 사전에 예방하고 방제 품질향상을 위해 경기도 양평군에서 실행 중인 방제사업장을 점검했다고 밝혔다.
임 청장은 상반기 소나무재선충병 사업장과 파쇄장을 대상으로 한 이번 현장점검을 통해 방제목의 누락 유·무, 정보무늬(QR코드) 이력관리 실태, 잔가지 수집·처리 상황 등 방제현장을 면밀히 점검해 전략적인 방제가 이루어질 수 있도록 지도했다.
아울러, 방제사업으로 인한 도복 피해, 소음·분진 등 사업장 주변 주민들에게 피해가 없도록 주의할 것을 강조했으며, 작업자들의 안전사고 예방을 위하여 담당 공무원들의 철저한 관리·감독을 당부했다.
한편, 북부지방산림청에서는 양평군 접경지역인 강원도 원주 등 확산이 우려되는 4개면(양동·지평·청운·단월)을 공동방제구역으로 지정하고 피해고사목등 16천그루를 방제하고 있으며, 추가로 발생하는 감염목도 오는 3월말까지 전량 방제할 계획이다.
