[김현우 기자 = 동두천] 동두천시는 한국가스안전공사·동두천소방서와 함께 지 6일부터 9일까지 종교시설에 대한 안전점검을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

이번 점검은 소방·가스·건축 등 합동 점검반을 구성해 연말을 앞두고 인파가 몰릴 것으로 예상되는 종교시설 5개소를 대상으로 진행했다. 

주요 점검 사항은 관리주체 안전관리 체계 및 시설물 이상 유무, 다중 운집 시 예상 이동(대피) 경로, 위험 요소 등이다.

동두천시 관계자는 “점검 결과 대부분 ‘양호’하지만 단순·경미한 위반사항은 현장에서 즉시 시정조치하고 보수·보강이 필요한 사항은 응급조치 후 신속하게 개선할 예정”이라고 밝혔다.
