[김준호 기자 = 삼척시] 삼척시청 여자핸드볼팀(단장 최종훈 삼척시부시장)은 지난 11월 10일 관내 거주 소외계층을 대상으로 사랑의 연탄 기부 봉사활동을 전개했다.

이번 사랑의 연탄 기부는 지난 2021~2022 SK핸드볼코리아리그에서 우승한 삼척시청 여자핸드볼 선수단(감독 이계청)이 사회공헌활동 일환으로 우승 상금을 기부금으로 내어 관내 소외계층 10가구에 가구당 300장씩 3,000장의 연탄이 전달됐다

이날 삼척시청 여자핸드볼팀 선수단과 서포터즈 등 30여 명은 기부대상 10가구 중 2가구를 선정하여 직접 연탄배달 봉사활동을 전개하고, 위문품도 함께 전달하는 등 선수단 모두가  따뜻한 마음을 나누었고, 봉사 활동 당일 미방문한 8가구에 대해서는 연탄쿠폰을 따로 전달하기로 하였다.

삼척시 관계자는 “이번 나눔과 봉사 실천을 통하여 직장 운동경기부의 선진 조직문화를 구축하고, 소외계층과 불우이웃 돕기를 통한 공직 내 나눔 문화 확산에 기여하겠다.”고 밝혔다.
