[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 홍천군은 농업인구 고령화에 따른 인력 부족 해소를 위해 내국인 농업분야 근로자를 모집한다고 밝혔다. 

홍천군은 지난 2017년부터 필리핀 산후안시 계절근로자를 도입해 농번기 농업인력 부족 문제를 일부 해결했으나 근본적인 해결에는 역부족인 실정이다. 이에, 일손 부족이 심각한 지역을 중심으로 근무를 희망하는 내국인을 농가와 연결하고자 내국인 근로자를 모집 중이다.

20세 이상 45세 미만의 농작업이 가능한 신체 건강한 내국인은 오는 25일까지 신청 가능하고 근로기간과 숙식 여부는 농번기(4월~10월) 고용 희망 농가와 협의를 통해 결정하게 된다.  농가에 고용되면 농산물 파종, 관리, 수확 등 일반적인 농작업 업무를 수행하게 되며, 근로시간은 1일 8시간, 월 2회 휴무를 실시하며 최저임금 기준으로 급여를 지급 받는다. 

홍천군 관계자는 “외국인 계절근로자 사업의 확대 추진과 더불어 내국인 인력 중개를 통해 농촌 인력 부족을 해결하기 위한 방안을 적극 모색하겠다”고 말했다.
