[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 인제군이 청정 인제를 지키기 위한 새로운 생활자원회수센터 건립 사업을 추진한다고 밝혔다.

 

생활자원회수센터는 병, 종이, 플라스틱, 캔 등 재활용이 가능한 폐자원을 선별하는 시설이며 주민 생활패턴 변화로 재활용 폐자원이 지속적으로 증가함에 따라 군이 대책 마련에 나섰다.

 

인제군은 새로운 생활자원회수센터를 건립하기 위해 최근 국비 20억원을 확보하고 오는 2023년부터 2025년까지 사업비 68억여 원을 투입하며 인제군환경자원센터 내 재활용선별장 인근 부지에 들어설 예정으로 오는 2023년 실시설계를 들어가 2025년까지 공사를 추진, 2026년에는 신규 시설 가동을 시작한다는 계획이다. 

 

생활자원회수센터가 가동되면 일일 기준 재활용품 20여 톤을 선별할 수 있으며 수집된 재활용품 자원의 선별률도 현재 62%에서 최대 80%까지 올릴 수 있을 것으로 기대되고 기존 수동 선별 방식을 대체하는 비중발리스틱선별기, 자력선별기, 진동피더 등 새로운 설비를 도입해 근로자의 작업환경 개선 등 처리 과정에 효율성과 경제성을 높인다는 계획이다.

 

이호성 환경보호과장은 “환경을 보호하고 자원 순환을 촉진하는 안정적인 환경기초시설 운영에 최선을 다하겠다.”고 말했다.
