[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 가평군 청평면 대성2리 체육관 개관식을 지난 18일 성황리에 개최했다고 밝혔다. 

대성2리 마을회관 인근에 위치한 체육관은 연면적 204㎡ 지상1층 철골구조로 사업비 10억 4천만 원을 투입해 지난 2021년 5월에 준공하였지만, 코로나19로 인해 따로 개관식을 하지 못했다.

체육관 내부에는 체육강당 1실, 휴게공간 1실, 화장실을 배치하였고, 한국수력원자력 청평발전소의 지원으로 러닝머신 등 13종의 운동 시설을 갖추었다. 

신미현 이장은 환영사를 통해 “농촌지역의 특성상 노령인구가 많고 거동이 불편한 경우가 많아 체육시설 이용이 어려웠는데 마을에 체육공간이 생겨 주민 체력증진에 큰 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.”고 밝혔다.

김경수 군의원은 축사에서 “건강한 삶은 인생의 큰 축복이고 자산이며, 100세 시대를 맞이하는 어르신들의 건강하고 행복한 노후생활에 안내자 역할을 할 것으로 기대한다. 그리고 보다 알찬 복지서비스를 제공할 수 있도록 지속적인 관심을 바란다.”고 말했다.
