[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 동해시는 지난 17일부터 10월 14일까지 59일간 각종 시설·건축물과 위험시설, 최근 위험성이 부각된 시설물을 대상으로 집중안전점검에 나선다고 밝혔다.  

 

집중안전점검은 최근 대형사고 및 재난을 계기로 안전에 대한 국민적 관심이 증대되고, 안전점검 및 관리체계 강화 필요성이 요구됨에 따라 ‘대한민국 안전대전환’의 일환으로 추진된다.

 

시는 건설공사현장과 산사태 재해취약지, 전통시장 등 주민생활과 밀접한 관련이 있는 31개소를 대상으로 집중안전점검을 실시할 예정이며, 점검의 실효성을 확보하기 위하여 공무원을 비롯하여 건축, 전기, 소방 등 각 분야 민간전문가가 참여한 가운데, 드론 등 첨단장비를 활용하여 점검의 질을 높이는데 주력할 예정이다.

 

점검결과는 행정안전부에서 운영중인 ‘안전정보통합시스템’을 통하여 결과를 공개할 예정으로, 보수·보강이 시급한 사항은 즉시 조치하고, 추가 진단이 필요한 사항은 정밀안전진단을 실시하는 등 지속적인 이력관리로 위험요인을 해소한다는 방침이다.

 

박희종 안전과장은 “지난 3월 발생된 산불로 많은 산림이 손실되어 산사태 발생이 우려되는 재해취약지와 사각지대를 선제적으로 점검하여 재해로부터 안전한 환경을 조성할 계획”이라며, “이번 집중안전점검에 시민들의 많은 관심과 적극적인 협조를 부탁 드린다”고 말했다.
