[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 가평군수직 인수위원회가 지난 6월 20일부터 6월 24일까지 4일간에 걸쳐 북한강 천년뱃길 조성사업 및 상천 농촌테마파크 등 지역 내 주요사업장 16개소를 방문, 추진현황 및 운영상황 등을 청취하고 의견을 수렴했다고 밝혔다.

이번 주요사업장 현장방문은 현재 추진되고 있는 주요사업의 추진상황 및 문제점을 점검하고 부진사업에 대한 개선방안을 강구하는 등 현장행정을 강화하기 위해 마련됐다. 

세부일정으로는 지난 20일 북한강 천년뱃길 조성사업 현장을 시작으로 22일 7080 청평고을 조성사업 외 5개소, 23일 목동 전망대 설치공사 외 4개소, 24일 밀리터리 테마파크 조성사업 외 3개소 등 16개소이다.

주요사업장을 방문한 인수위원들은 관계 공무원으로부터 현장별 사업현황에 대한 설명을 듣고 사업의 적정성 및 추진상의 문제점 등을 꼼꼼히 점검했다. 

특히, 상천 농촌테마파크 및 산림체험단지 조성사업, 밀리터리 테마파크 등 공모사업에 선정되어 추진중인 사업장들의 운영자 선정 지연, 투자대비 수익성 저하 등에 대한 인수위원들의 질문이 쏟아졌으며, 향후 공모사업 추진시 사업의 타당성과 운영계획에 대한 철저한 자료 분석 등을 통해 사업이 당초 목적대로 추진되고 지역 경제에도 도움이 될 수 있도록 사업선정에 신중을 기해 줄 것을 당부하였다.
