[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 더불어민주당 손세화 포천시의원 후보가 지난 10일 오후 4시30분, 선거사무소 개소식을 가졌다고 했다.

이날 개소식에는 이철휘 포천가평 지역위원장, 박윤국 포천시장 후보, 박영훈 더불어민주당 전국대학생 위원장, 장기영 후원회장, 손세화 후보 아버지의 축사가 이어졌다.

이철휘 위원장은 축사에서 “각 분야에서 골고루 지지를 받고 있는 손세화 후보는 상당히 경쟁력 있다. 민심을 토대로 공천한 후보다”라며, “반드시 당선될 것이라고 확신한다”라고 말하며 정당추천서를 전달 하였다.

박윤국 포천시장 후보는 축사에서 “손세화 후보는 지난 4년간 당당하고 정직하고 바르게 진심으로 포천시를 위해 일했다. 시민의 힘으로 손세화 후보를 반드시 당선시켜달라”라고 말했다. 

박영훈 더불어민주당 전국대학생 위원장은 축사에서 "손세화 후보는 민주당에서 인정받는 인재다. 포천에서 이런 후보가 있다는 것이 참 자랑스럽다. 진정으로 시민을 위해 본인의 일처럼 일하는 사람은 드물다. 많은 지지를 부탁드린다"라고 말했다.  

손세화 후보 아버지(손평국)는 "우리 딸을 지지해주셔서 고맙다. 항상 함께 해주시길 부탁드린다"라고 말하며 감사의 뜻을 전했다.

손세화 후보는 인사말에서 ”포천시민으로부터 시작되는 나비효과를 믿는다. 변함없는 열정과 흔들림없는 소신으로, 믿고 다시 맡겨주신다면 앞으로 4년간의 의정활동에도 최선을 다하겠다."라고 밝히며 "1-나번을 받아 쉽지 않은 선거지만 더 절실히 뛰어 여러분의 성원에 보답할 수 있도록최선을 다 하겠다. 함께 해주시길 부탁드린다."라며 간절한 마음을 담아 지지를 호소하였다.
