Conducted intensive inspection of multi-use facilities in Singok 1-dong, Uijeongbu-si

Creation of a safe zone for children and adolescents COVID-19

[Reporter Il-jung Kim = Northern Gyeonggi/Gangwon] Uijeongbu City Singok 1-dong Administrative Welfare Center is a place where children and adolescents who are relatively vulnerable to Corona 19 can enjoy leisure without worrying about Corona 19 infection in a situation where the spread of Omicron is expanding nationwide. In order to create a safe and secure area, it is said that it is conducting an intensive inspection of multi-use facilities in the Shingok area.

Since the first confirmed case of Omicron mutation in Korea on November 25 last year, there have been an average of 31,000 confirmed cases per week as of February 8, and the detection rate of Omicron mutation has soared to 92.1%, and the transmission power is 2 In the midst of the spread of Omicron, which is more than twice as high, he said, the subjects most concerned about Corona are children and adolescents who are vulnerable to infection.

Children and adolescents have a low vaccination rate of 76.1% compared to adults due to concerns about the vaccine, and the infection tends to spread rapidly due to the frequent close contact due to face-to-face classes. In order to prevent this, he said, it is a situation that requires careful and continuous management of multi-use facilities such as singing practice rooms and PC rooms, which are mainly used by children and adolescents.

In response to this, as the quarantine reinforcement measures to continue the gradual recovery of daily life were extended from February 7th to the 20th, Uijeongbu City will comply with the quarantine rules for all singing practice rooms and PC rooms in the jurisdiction according to the quarantine guidelines and after business restrictions. He said that he is actively responding to the corona virus once again by checking the business ban every week.

In the new song area, a more strengthened inspection was carried out. In particular, a singing practice room and a PC room, which were used by young people during the vacation, were selected as the main inspection targets. Meanwhile, he said that he is actively checking whether the quarantine rules are being implemented by conducting more frequent and meticulous nighttime on-site inspections of the facilities.

When conducting inspections of multi-use facilities, before business restrictions, thoroughly check the existing quarantine rules, such as limiting private gatherings, confirming inoculation completion, managing the visitor list, checking whether hand sanitizer is provided and surface disinfection in the facility, and ventilation of the facility. He said that he is distributing the necessary items to support the quarantine activities of business operators, and continuously inspects whether to stop the operation of multi-use facilities after the business limit, and detects operators and users when operating after the limit, he said.

As the importance of observing quarantine rules is increasing to prevent the spread of Omicron, under the current quarantine guidelines, when a multi-use facility operator or user does not comply with the limit of the number of people at private meetings and business hours, etc. According to Articles 49 and 83 (2) and (4) of the 'Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Act', managers and operators will be fined not more than 3 million won and users will be fined not more than 100,000 won told

In addition, if a confirmed case occurs within the facility, the manager and operator may be entitled to reimbursement for quarantine costs.

Shingok 1-dong Regional Director Shim Jin-ju said, “Above all, it is important to actively conduct preemptive inspections so that the basic right to health of residents is guaranteed. In line with the purpose of the establishment of the district, we will continue to conduct on-site-oriented administration that will satisfy the residents.”
