[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 1월 25일 동두천시 생연2동은 어수상인회에서 설 명절을 맞아 이웃사랑 실천을 위해 백미 10kg 20포를 기탁했다고 밝혔다.

어수상인회는 매년 명절마다 십시일반 정성을 모아 쌀, 라면 등의 성품을 기탁하며 이웃 사랑을 몸소 실천하여 지역사회에 귀감이 되고 있다고 했다.

이석철 회장은 “설을 맞아 저소득 취약계층 이웃들에게 조금이나마 위로가 되길 바란다. 지역사회의 일원으로서 앞으로도 꾸준히 봉사에 앞장서며 소외되는 이웃이 없도록 활동을 이어가겠다”고 소감을 밝혔다.

김일 생연2동장은 “경제적으로 어려운 시기임에도 꾸준히 이웃을 먼저 생각하며 나눔을 실천하는 어수상인회에 진심으로 감사드리며, 복지사각지대에 놓여 고통받는 사람 없이 모두가 따뜻한 겨울을 보낼 수 있도록 최선의 노력을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
