[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 1월 25일 동두천시 생연1동 주민자치위원회에서는 다가오는 설을 맞이해 자매결연 경로당인 연동경로당을 찾아 어르신들의 안부를 묻고 새해인사를 드리는 훈훈한 시간을 보냈다고 밝혔다.

연동경로당 안석호 회장은 “명절마다 잊지 않고 경로당을 찾아 노인들의 소리에 귀 기울여 주어 감사하다”며 “앞으로도 귀감이 되는 노인이 되어 지역에 도움이 될 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 감사의 마음을 전했다. 

김상수 주민자치위원장은 “어르신들을 찾아뵙는 것은 당연히 해야 할 일이라고 생각한다”며 “앞으로도 계속해서 후원을 이어갈 계획이다”라고 말했다. 

한편 생연1동 주민자치위원회는 매년 명절에 관내 경로당을 방문하여 위문활동을 펼쳐 훈훈한 지역사회 조성에 일조하고 있다고 밝혔다.
