[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 1월 19일 의정부시 의정부1동주민센터는 올해로 3년째를 맞이한 민관협력 추진 사업 ‘웃음꽃이 피어나는 사랑빵 나눔’의 시작을 알렸다고 밝혔다.

이 사업은 ‘의정부1동 보건복지팀·지역사회보장협의체·녹양종합사회복지관·수요빵봉사회 등’ 관내 4개 기관이 업무협약 체결 후 합동으로 진행하고 있으며, 매월 셋째 주 수요일 수요빵봉사회의 주도로 직접 만든 빵을 가지고 복지관의 독거노인 생활지원사가 각 가정을 방문해 말벗서비스 제공 및 생활실태를 점검하는 사업이라고 했다.

지역주민이 모은 이웃돕기 성금을 재원으로 운영되고 있으며, 정기적인 방문으로 때에 맞는 복지서비스를 제공할 수 있고, 자연스레 구축된 보호체계로 지역복지 기능이 강화되어 좋은 사업으로 평가되고 있다고 전했다.

이병기 의정부1동장은 “관내 기관 및 단체들이 협약을 통해 복지안전망을 구축하고 현장중심의 복지서비스를 제공할 수 있어 뜻깊은 사업이다”며 “이웃돕기 성금으로 진행되는 만큼 소외되는 이웃에게 따뜻한 마음까지 전달되길 바란다”고 밝혔다.
