[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 12월 23일, 새홍천로타리클럽은 서석면 행정복지센터를 방문, 저소득층을 위한 난방유 600L를 기탁했다고 밝혔다.

김상섭 회장은 “지역사회에서 작은 도움이 되고자 화장실 개선 사업 및 난방유 지원 사업을 추진하고 있다”며 “서석면 저소득층의 따뜻한 겨울나기를 위해 적은 금액이지만 난방유를 기부하게 됐다”고 말했다. 

또 수하2리에 거주하는 이월선씨도 10만원을 서석 곳간 채우기에 전달했다고 전했다.

박만성 서석면장은 “모두가 어려운 시기에 봉사와 나눔을 몸소 실천하며 해마다 도움을 주시는 후원자 분들에게 진심으로 감사드린다”며 “보내주신 후원금과 난방유는 도움이 필요한 어려운 이웃들에게 잘 전달해 따뜻한 연말을 맞이하실 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
