[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 11월 17일 양주시 은현면은 새마을지도자협의회와 새마을부녀회에서 하천 살리기 생명살림 운동으로 EM흙공 던지기 행사를 실시했다고 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 신천의 수질개선과 생태보전을 위해 마련한 것으로 새마을지도자협의회와 새마을부녀회 회원들이 참석해 EM흙공을 직접 던지며 하천 살리기에 앞장섰다고 했다.

김지현 면장은 “급격히 추워진 날씨에도 하천 살리기 운동을 펼쳐주신 모든 분께 감사드린다”며 “이번 흙공 던지기로 신천이 깨끗하게 정화되길 바라며 앞으로도 환경과 관련된 다양한 활동을 지속적으로 펼쳐나가겠다”고 말했다.
